Free Writing Contest for Science Fiction Writers – Theme: What if?

and so you ask yourself, what if… what? Well you tell us! We want short science fiction short (micro, flash or short stories) that tell us a science fiction story around the idea what if. Where ever you take it, take it interesting! The word limit is 5,000 words.
This contest will be judged by science fiction writer T.M. Hunter:
T. M. Hunter is an avid aircraft and space junkie when he finds those brief moments of free time between his day job and writing space opera novels and short stories. His first Aston West novel, Heroes Die Young, was honored as Champagne Books’ Best-Selling Novel of the Year for 2008. He has had several short stories published with his Aston West story “Little White Truths” receiving a top-ten finish in the 2007 Preditors and Editors Readers Poll. Schedule: Submission accepted between June 1, 2008 – August 31, 2009.
Winners will be selected by September 30, 2009
Prizes:
Winning stories will be paid $50.00 and receive a free print copy of the collection
Second place $25.00 and receive a free print copy of the collection
Third Place $10.00 and receive a free print copy of the collection
The top stories picked by the judge will be published in addition for a print collection to be published in October of 2009. All accepted entries will receive an ebook version of the final collection.
