Short Story Library Magazine – General Update

Published By Casey Quinn • Dec 7th, 2008 • Category: Short Story News

*** SSL News
As we approach the end of the year I wanted to take this week and just update everyone on all the new stuff going on in and around SSL magazine. To start with we brought on two new associate editors to help read through all of the amazing submissions we are getting. We receive a little over 100 submissions a month so it is great to have some people to help out with all of the reading. Thanks Daryl and Allen! Also, to keep the forum active and growing we have added another moderator Josie to the crew to make sure everyone stays in line at all times and crack the whip when she needs to.

*** Night Falls on Everyone – Horror Collection
The horror collection is coming along and we are about ready to go to print! The artwork is all done and looks amazing. We also have six interior illustrations that are spread throughout the book. All of the stories have been edited and formatted, all set to go. We are hoping to have the proof in our hands in the next week or two and then have it available for everyone as soon as we accept the proof. I will make sure to keep everyone updated. The horror collection “Night Falls On Everyone” is really a great collection. I have read the stories over and over and am impressed with the publication and excited to bring it to print shortly.

*** SSL Anthology
In other ReadMe Publishing news, the SSL first six month print anthology is starting to pick up momentum now that the horror collection is winding down. We have the illustrator at work coming up with the cover art and we are in the process of editing the stories now to get them ready for print. We are shooting for a January 2009 release of the collection.

*** New Poetry Contest
With the horror collection over, the next contest has begun! If you’re a poet, keep reading!
ReadMe Publishing is offering a FREE writing contest for all poets where winning poems will receive cash prizes and the top entries will be published in a print collection.
