Thanks to the amount of interest we have received and the positive feedback we have been getting, we have changed over from our monthly format to a weekly format. We also have changed from sending out monthly emails to sending out weekly ones as we post each issue. If you have not subscribed, please do so that you do not miss out on any of the stories we publish!

We have also had a few new writers join our writers forum as it is slowly gaining momentum as the site grows. The writers forum offers a place for critiques on any form of short writing including poetry, micro fiction, flash fiction and short stories. If you write it, the writers forum will critique it !
ShortStory.us.com has started to receive a number of submissions for the horror writing contest. The contest accepts writings of any short kind from poetry to short stories as long as they follow the horror theme! See this post for more details!
Unlike the past where comments were left on the forum for feedback on past stories, in this new format you can post write on the story itself. The writers would love to hear from you so please if you enjoyed a story you read here, post on it and let the author know! In addition, we have added stumble to the site and other popular social sites to the subscription emails. We would appreciate any support of our site by clicking those links!
Till next week,

dear casey- I clicked on stories on 3rd month’s submissions but nothing happened. stort should have popped up. suggestions? I like your new format and ads. but, how do i get the story to read?
Hey Harvey!
Well with the new format, the old links from the original site no longer work as they have been moved to a new location. If you are looking for a specific story there a few ways you can get there.
1. Go to browse archives and find them that way
2. click on the link where it says “stories of the week” and it will list all short stories we have published to date
3. if you know the name you can search in the top right corner
Hope this helps and thanks for commenting!
